These 7-11s are Compound poly rhythms. think of it as a grouping of 7 and a grouping of 11 (counted quickly as in 7/8 and 11/8 time at 120 bpm). Now imagine that your task is to put them together so that they don't sound like complete trash. The problem is that these types of patterns take a great deal of time to perfect.
