"I love the sound of rock and roll. indie, folk, and Punk. you know, music from the 60s and early 70s, even skate punk from the early 90s, Reggae, and i'm into some styles of Jazz. I love the sound of artists who write their music well. Songwriters with passion. Music in it's Simplicity, Depth, and Purity. The best songs are my favorite songs, not the most popular ones." |

Trying things. It's a nice to take my time with a groove, to slow down because there's no pressure or time-constraints.
It allows me to experiment and learn.
Today I'm programming a drum kit, using samples recorded in house.
30 minute session with lots of starting and stopping,
minor adjustments and lots of going with the flow,
just relaxing and getting creative here.

"I've been a songwriter for as long as I can remember."
Before now, playing punk rock in an Alt metal band after I studying technical arts, I spent a few seasons in An apprenticeship . The whole time Writing, Recording, Developing my Skill-Set, while Holding down a Non-Audio day-job. Moved back to his hometown and Friends Started bringing their song ideas and Cody would help turn them into Songs. That lasted about three years, before our day jobs killed us . The Paulcast was a product of this journey. By this time, still writing one song per week. This became the Quick and Dirty Folk Singles & The Bandits of Time had great potential in an alt-punk / Indie-folk-Rock Hybrid band, but stopped short. From there, Kept jamming with Greyhound Henry. All the while, seeking a depth understanding of how music works. How does it all fit together? What makes it a good song?
