Spending the week tracking a new one. thought i'd shareHey welcome back! Here's a new one i've been playing with in my spare time. A video Series chronicling the creation of this song. Pretty straightforward right?
Hey everyone Cody here with some more blog action. this month has been exciting, working with Ol'brother Paul on several projects including the 'Paulcast' and the reunion of the way out. Got a chance to talk to Solid Smith about his chip tune project. Chip tunes are a really interesting little micro-genre. Imagine 8-bit video game music, very technical, with interesting hooks and progressive and metal-esque themes. These songs were built in a web app (beepbox.co) with a discord community with contests and stuff. Sounds interesting? Edgefest 2019Yep, Edgefest happens every year. It's a great little festival and the proceeds help needy folks in our (100 mile house) community. This year we had 'I'm Not Steve' who plays Acoustic with Cajon drum harmonica, tambourine. I really enjoyed his originals and he had a great voice for bluesy rock. Headlining the show once again, was Space Waste. who are planning to get some open-mics happening (again locally) but sadly they are losing one of their band-mates to re-location due to work. Don't worry though. The core of their band (Aaron Tim and Chuck) are still going strong. I'm excited what these folks will bring musically in the next little while... b o x f i r ePatrick (aka None the Weiser) is polishing up some tracks for his latest project, a dubby, electronic-style album under the name box-fire. As Pat and I are both Tree-planters I get the reference, imagine burning hundreds of 2' x 4' boxes coated in a waxy fuel-source. It's bright, it's impressive.
